0–50 kg Bidirectional Load Cell LRF400
The tension compression load cell LRF400 is a compact and versatile force transducer developed for equipment where mechanical loads may change direction during operation. Its lightweight aluminum construction makes it suitable for integration into test fixtures, machinery, and compact measurement devices. With rated capacities ranging from 1 kg to 50 kg, the LRF400 can be selected for different force measurement requirements.

As a bidirectional force sensor, the LRF400 is designed to monitor both loading directions using one sensor. This configuration is particularly useful when a mechanism alternates between applying and releasing force, eliminating the need for separate sensing elements for opposite loading conditions.
The LRF400 can be incorporated into dedicated fixtures, laboratory instruments, OEM equipment, and automated machinery. Its detachable connector provides convenient access for wiring and simplifies sensor replacement during equipment servicing or maintenance.
Typical applications include:
- Actuator testing: Measuring the output force of linear actuators, cylinders, and motor-driven mechanisms during development and quality testing.
- Material and component testing: Monitoring applied forces when evaluating mechanical parts, structural components, springs, and other test specimens.
- Robotic systems: Measuring gripping, pressing, positioning, and release forces in robotic arms and end-effectors.
- Automated assembly: Monitoring insertion, pressing, clamping, and fitting operations to improve process consistency.
- Force-controlled machinery: Providing force feedback for equipment that requires controlled contact or load application.
- Medical and rehabilitation equipment: Measuring push and pull forces in exercise, rehabilitation, and equipment testing applications.
- Research and laboratory equipment: Integrating compact force sensing into experimental setups, prototype systems, and research instruments.
- Production and quality inspection: Checking operating forces and verifying mechanical performance during manufacturing and final inspection.

As a push pull load cell, the LRF400 can work with compatible analog or digital signal converters for connection to PLCs, controllers, data acquisition devices, and other industrial electronics. LCS Tech also offers customization of rated capacity, mechanical dimensions, cable or connector configuration, and electrical output. With its compact form factor, bidirectional measurement capability, and flexible configuration options, the LRF400 provides a practical force measurement sensor for both standard applications and customized OEM force measurement systems.
